About Us

We could give you a long history lesson here about how we came to be, but instead we rather tell you a brief one and let other dads do the talking with silly stories and quotes that definitely fit the mold of what #DaddyKnowsToo is all about.

Our Story

Each of us have been down some difficult roads parenting, separations, financial stress, and the like. However, raising children as single dads has probably been the most challenging and the most rewarding.

I, Parnell had to become the mom and dad for my daughter just as her mom had to do the same for her when we unfortunately parted ways. The day my daughter Kezia realized that I could do stuff too just like mommy was an epiphany for me. I realized that dads can be called upon to make medical appointments, or meet teachers regarding our children's academic progress. I realized I can be a dad but I can also be a role model, father figure, and still be totally cool! Now, cooking for my daughter and making wonder woman super hero snacks is way cooler than just being the average dad.

I, Kelvin was always good friends with Parnell, my partner in crime and in the office (we used to work together and hey! we're still doing it now). When Parnell went through his traumatic change I was right beside him as a friend, especially since I had just goen through it a few years prior. I myself am a divorced dad of not ONE, but three kids. Yup! You heard it correctly! three children. Some would say I've gotta be nuts to have three in the first place, but I say I am #blessed to have the privilege of being a #dad and an inspiration to my children and them to me.

If you think the #DKT crew is only made up of men, you're wrong. Believe it or not, we have a couple of important female executives that help us to put together all the great news, resources, deals, and entertainment that we provide for you. There's an old wives tale that behind every great man is a woman. Truth is, kids need both and someone has to decorate the mancave anyway right?

Well, it's been great sharing some of our personal experiences with you and we'd love to share some cool quotes and stuff that other dads have shared with us. So, here you go and enjoy the rest of the features on our site and the #DaddyKnowsTooMobileApp!

I'm sure there were times when I wish I had thought, 'Gosh, that might really embarrass mom and dad,' but our parents didn't raise us to think about them. They're very selfless and they wanted us to have as normal of a college life as possible. So really, we didn't think of any repercussions.

Jenna Bush

I was born on the other side of the tracks, in public housing in Brooklyn, New York. My dad never made more than $20,000 a year, and I grew up in a family that lost health insurance. So I was scarred at a young age with understanding what it was like to watch my parents lose access to the American dream.

Howard Schultz

If you think back to the first sporting event you went to, you don't remember the score, you don't remember a home run, you don't remember a dunk. You remember who you were with. Were you with your mom, your dad, your brother, on a date?

Mark Cuban

I try to live my life like my father lives his. He always takes care of everyone else first. He won't even start eating until he's sure everyone else in the family has started eating. Another thing: My dad never judges me by whether I win or lose.

Ben Roethlisberger

My father was an Episcopalian minister, and I've always been comforted by the power of prayer.
